The Coleman Farm

Welcome

The Coleman Farm is located in East Liverpool, Ohio. About 45 minutes west of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

My name is Ethan Russell. I am the current owner of The Coleman Farm, this website, and The Coleman Farm facebook page. A majority of the videos you'll find over there were made by my father Jeffrey Russell (1956-2021). My goal is to continue the work he contributed during his short time as the owner of the farm. He made the most of every day and always said "it isn't work if you enjoy what you're doing" and if it's not obvious by watching his facebook live videos, he really enjoyed what he was doing. You could tell what the farm meant to him.

I created this website as another way to preserve the history of the farm, as well as tell it's story and hopefully provide some exciting news and details about it's future.

My dad always referred to me as "more of a city boy", and growing up I spent a majority of my time indoors or playing sports. Because of this he figured I would put the farm up for sale and "do what I want with the money". Over the past couple years, his vision for my future on the farm changed quite a bit. We discussed things like building a house, and he even had the chance to witness me shooting a gun for the first time. The might have been the moment we both knew I was hooked.

My dad was never much of a hunter other than going out with his dad and pap when he was a young boy many many years ago, but he planned to changed that once he retired. His plan was to get a big trophy and hang it on the wall. Unfortunately, he ran out of time and never had the pleasure to enjoy all his years taking care of the farm and feeding the animals.

Silver lining being, not long after he passed away I found myself in the woods deer hunting for the first time. I didn't get that trophy but I learned a few things that will help me do so in the future.

"Life is short so enjoy it while you can" - (Jeffrey Russell)
